NZ Berryfruit Propagators Ltd are in the business of supplying a superior range of berryfruit plant material selected to satisfy the future needs of the New Zealand Berryfruit Industry.

Our background
New Zealand Berryfruit Propagators Ltd (referred to as NZBP) was established in 1978 with the objective of introducing plant material from overseas breeders into New Zealand. We are also involved with a number of New Zealand berryfruit breeding programmes.

NZBP currently holds the rights for over 40 Strawberry, 31 Raspberry, 26 Bramble, 21 Blackcurrant, 3 Gooseberry and 12 Blueberry varieties.

We sell the majority of all berryfruit plants sold in New Zealand, with an average of 19 million plants sold each year.
Over 90% of these sales are strawberry plants which are planted mostly on an annual basis.

Our main market is commercial berryfruit growers but we also sell designated varieties to nursery outlets for sale to home gardeners.

Our objective
The objective of NZBP is to have a programme of importation, selection, propagation, quality assurance and distribution of high healthberryfruit plant material, that ensures that New Zealand berryfruit growers can profitably satisfy the needs of local and international berryfruit consumers.
